Berries, Beans & Beer is something of a different kind of drinks festival, and when it comes to the #beer list we’re also putting together what we think is a first for the region, with Crewe’s first keg-only festival line-up.
We’ll have at least 35 taps, each with a beer from a different brewery covering a range of styles: Pale ales, IPAs, Lager, Wheat, Porter, Stout and Wild/Sour beers. This will give a great mixture of traditional, modern and everything in between. Focusing on modern keg beers means we can present a wider range of styles, some of which simply aren’t best suited to cask, as well as providing something a little different to other events in the local area.
Beers will be coming from breweries far and wide, with some fine local offerings as well as further afield from around the UK. Equally there is a mixture of old and new, large and small, some well-established names and others that have only just appeared on the scene.
We will also have one tap dedicated to the winner of our homebrew competition which is being judged next week.
And not only will we be bringing you the beers through our taps, but some of the brewers involved will be joining us at various points over the three days, with talks and tastings lined up in our somewhat unique events space.
More details will be released soon on how you can enhance your festival visit by getting along to these talks and tastings, which promise to give you a great first-hand experience meeting the people behind the beers.
Keep watching our social media where we’ll start to announce details of each brewery and the beers they are supplying as the festival draws near.
Berries, Beans & Beer – Crewe is at the Crewe Heritage Centre, Vernon Way, Crewe CW1 2DB from 28th to 30th April 2017.
