Coffee pick me up

Stafford coffee roasters @Hasbean will be with us Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April for a caffeine fix up to 3pm.  We’re opening the doors at 11am on both days for FREE coffee between 11am and 12 from the Hasbean team plus you can grab a toastie from Viva La Toastie for a great start to the day.  From 12 to 3pm you’ll have a chance to try different brews.  All this is included in your ticket price for the day (£7 for Saturday and £5 for Sunday which include £4 worth of drink tokens, further ticket information at the bottom of the page).

The idea for Berries, Beans & Beer actually started at Hasbean where David was booked in to run a bar for their birthday celebrations.  Michelle was there as the bar help while Chris, Phil and Rachel were along as visitors, Sarah and Simon got roped in not long after!  So this crazy idea happened and here we all are a fair few months later chatting with Roland and the Hasbean team to make this work.

Founder Steve is coffee mad,  “I have always enjoyed coffee, and always been a little weird with it too. Not in a bad way, more in terms of quality and choice. I remember asking, as a seven or eight year old, for a filter machine for Christmas, and drinking filter coffee when no one else in the house did. I recall enquiring if my mom would allow me to choose the coffee myself, then spending a long time carefully making a selection. I really don’t know where this desire came from, or why I liked coffee so much.”

Their website is well worth a read through at www.hasbean.co.uk, watch some of the In My Mug videos, plus take the opportunity to try the different coffee samples at Berries, Beans & Beer over the weekend and check out the coffee brewing equipment.

(Please note we are licensed from 11am on Saturday and 12 on Sunday for any alcohol sales).

Tickets are £7 for Friday 28th April (5pm – 11pm), Saturday 29th April £7 (11am to 11pm) and £5 for Sunday 30th April (11am to 6pm).

Buy online through Eventbrite by clicking here or in person from Offbeat Brewery, Thomas Street, Crewe, CW1 2BD or Otter’s Tears, 24 Queen Street, Burslem, Stoke On Trent, ST6 3EG.
